Great family destination with lots of activities for kids and adults, several different accommodations to chose from, and great scenery. Don't miss Smiley Canyon at night for some spectacular stargazing! The jeep rides and horseback tours are loads of fun.

The campground here is very nice. The sites are roomy and we'll spaced. The grounds are well maintained. There are full shade, partial shade and open sites. Visiting the Fort, there are two museums, one of which has fossils found in the area, as well as the only fossils of two mammoths who died with tusks entwined. The only reason I gave this only 4 stars, is the fact that the sites are electric only. Having water would be great. (They do have potable water at the dump site)

Great history was made here! Central to significant events of the "Indian Wars", as white settlers infringed upon Native American lands. Displays seek to authentically interpret events. Today, it is a quiet yet interesting place to have a family reunion in the Officer's Quarters. If you can get reservations made early enough. Swimming pool, jeep rides in the buttes, horseback rides in the buttes, and fantastic plays at the play house (get your tickets early). I think they have rafting too. Hiking, biking. Glorious sunsets, especially with the summer thunderstorms rolling through. A long ways from anywhere but a great place to get to.

The jewel of the Nebraska State Park system. Two RV campgrounds (w/ odd sewer hookups, bring a LONG sewer hose). Stables, parade ground, even a Wilderness Area! Surprisingly good fishing too.

Ft. Robinson is a hidden gem in the Panhandle of NE. I have been coming here for almost 20 years. The history of the Fort and surrounding area is amazing. If you are a history buff Ft. Robinson is a place you definitely need to visit.
